Category Archives: VACCINES: A Shot in the Dark

Addresses the controversial subject of vaccinations and their possible side-effects – sometimes referred to as ‘A Shot in the Dark’ – named after a 1964 film with Peter Sellers and a 1935 version of the same title…. But THIS category deals with VACCINES!

O’Shea: The Doors of Perception

Why Americans will believe almost anything…

Aldous Huxley’s inspired 1956 essay detailed the vivid, mind-expanding, multisensory insights of his mescaline adventures. By altering his brain chemistry with natural psychotropics, Huxley tapped into a rich and fluid world of shimmering, indescribable beauty and power. With his neurosensory input thus triggered, Huxley was able to enter that parallel universe described by every mystic and space captain in recorded history.

Whether by hallucination or epiphany, Huxley sought to remove all controls, all filters, all cultural conditioning from his perceptions and to confront Nature or the World or Reality first-hand – in its unpasteurized, unedited, unretouched, infinite rawness. Continue reading

Fisk: Mercury’s Legal Morass

Dozens of lawsuits, including putative class actions, have been filed across the country, claiming autism or other neurological defects were caused by exposure to mercury in vaccines.

In the months after Joseph Alexander Counter was born in 1996, he appeared to be progressing normally.

He had met all his development milestones and by the age of 20 months had a growing vocabulary, says plaintiffs’ attorney Andrew Waters of Dallas’ Waters & Kraus. Continue reading

The Commercialization of Childhood Vaccination

A Doctor’s Opinion

Indications of collusion between manufacturers, the FDA and other bureaucratic public health bodies, with key personnel being appointed to coordinate product approval, combined with a predominantly uncritical acceptance by the medical establishment of vaccine safety. This appears to have resulted in a protracted, coordinated opposition to all parental claims of serious harm to their children. If the accumulating evidence is confirmed, the health of a whole generation has been unnecessarily destroyed. Continue reading

Blake: Shots, or not?

Doctors assert need for childhood vaccines as parents raise questions

It has been a rite of passage for American babies for decades: getting vaccinated to fend off disease.

Yet today, while the vast majority of children still receive the shots, more parents are asking questions or seeking exemptions from required immunizations. The year-to-year rise in exemptions is tiny, say Washington state health officials, but it has been trending upward for several years. Continue reading

Hepatitis A – Inventing A Market For Another Superfluous Vaccine

They finally did it. After years of lobbying and angling, GlaxoSmithKline finally got their new vaccine for Hepatitis A tacked onto the mandated schedule as of Jan 2002, with no public fanfare. (www.aap.org) The vaccine is called Havrix, and is delineated on p.1544 of the 2002 Physicians Desk Reference, which incidentally was printed much earlier last year. Merck also has a hepatitis A vaccine – Vaqta. Continue reading

Connolly: Workers Exposed to Anthrax Shun Vaccine

Low Participation Is Blamed on Confusing Signals From U.S. Health Authorities

Only 152 people of more than 5,100 exposed to deadly anthrax bacteria in the attacks last fall have accepted the federal government’s offer to take an anthrax vaccine on an experimental basis, federal health officials reported yesterday.

As a group, congressional staffers were far more inclined to get vaccinated, while employees of the Brentwood postal station — where two workers died of pulmonary anthrax and two others became ill with the disease — overwhelmingly rejected the offer. Continue reading

Smallpox shot may help fight cancer

Modified smallpox vaccine tested against cervical cancer

NOTE: It is not too often that we post this type article, however with all the manufactured “fear” over smallpox and anthrax (although we believe that this one is real) scares, this seems to be one more way of urging acceptance of a mandated injection. Read, and then research – THEN – think for yourself. (Ed.)

A modified version of the smallpox vaccine is being tested as a novel weapon in the war against cancer. Continue reading
