When Dr. Kelley and I traveled together back in the late 1990’s, our conversation would frequently turn to ‘diet’ as I loved to cook – and still do. In 2015 and 2016, my two great friends with whom I had served in Viet Nam back in the late 1960’s and I met up for one of our annual get-togethers – this time in California – and a rarity – at the same location two years in a row, where we had the pleasure of some much needed R&R at the Ice Man’s brother’s Beach House at Cayucos by-the-Sea. The three of us LOVE great food, and so it was common for us to travel just South to Morro Bay – usually for breakfast – but sometimes dinner. And then on to one of my favorite places – The Grill Haus in San Luis Opisbo, where I always found the food, the atmosphere and the staff to be a wonder. (Hmmmmm – I wonder what ever happened to… never-mind.)
It was at the Grill Haus that I discovered one of the most amazing dishes (on the plate) that I had ever been privileged to savor – and a variation of that recipe I share with you now. Is it the healthist meal you might ever eat? Probably not – but once in awhile… just once in awhile my friends. As my Great-Grandmother’s would say, “All things in moderation.” ~ Ed.

Maybe this will wake up a few more folks on how important the pH balance is to your health. I am not sure I would have gone thru this *de-tox* recipe so not sure if it will entice some folks or not. When I learned of the pH balance in TX I simply reduced the amount of ACIDIC foods and increased the amount of ALKALINE foods and within a week my pH was holding at the 6.5 level. My initial pH test strip indicated I was about as acidic as one could get – all due to the diet I had eaten all my life. No wonder I had so many sicknesses and health issues in my early life. Since I have made the alkaline foods (and drinks) just how I live – I have not had so much as a sniffle. My health issues seem to revolve around bone related problems. Continue reading
Just one century ago in America, all of the most popular chronic diseases and disorders that we know so well today barely existed, including cancer, diabetes type 2, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s and heart disease.
