Wi-fi and cellphones increase pregnant women’s risk of a miscarriage by nearly 50%

Wi-fi and cellphones increase pregnant women’s risk of suffering a miscarriage by nearly 50 percent, new research reveals. Magnetic field (MF) non-ionizing radiation, which is also given off by power lines and cell towers, has been found in past studies to put a stress on the body, leading to genetic damage that can cause pregnant women to miscarry. BEWARE: Just How Many Shots Are On The CDC Vaccine Schedule?

World Mercury Project gets questions about the number of vaccines given to young children in America today. Different articles cite different numbers and the totals can be confusing. This article and chart are designed to clarify the vaccine schedule and explain why the numbers may not always “add up.” To be accurate, wording about total numbers of vaccines should include phrases like, “may receive up to” or “typically” or “between X and Y” number of vaccines. The individual numbers for any given child will vary depending on the specific vaccines used in his pediatrician’s practice or clinic. Continue reading

40 percent of US cancers linked to excess weight

About 40 percent of all cancers in the United States — more than 630,000 in all — are associated with excess weight, health officials said Tuesday, urging a renewed focus on prevention.

In a nation where 71 percent of adults are either overweight or obese, the findings by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “are a cause for concern,” said the agency’s director Brenda Fitzgerald. Continue reading

Worse Than Big Tobacco”: How Big Pharma Fuels the Opioid Epidemic

Once again, an out-of-control industry is threatening public health on a mammoth scale

Over a 40-year career, Philadelphia attorney Daniel Berger has obtained millions in settlements for investors and consumers hurt by a rogues’ gallery of corporate wrongdoers, from Exxon to R.J. Reynolds Tobacco. But when it comes to what America’s prescription drug makers have done to drive one of the ghastliest addiction crises in the country’s history, he confesses amazement.

I used to think that there was nothing more reprehensible than what the tobacco industry did in suppressing what it knew about the adverse effects of an addictive and dangerous product,” says Berger, “but I was wrong. The drug makers are worse than Big Tobacco.” Continue reading

UN agency to Congress: Drop dead

~ Foreword ~
The UN’s cancer research agency’s battle with other cancer scientists and agencies, as well as the US Congress, has taken some interesting turns recently. Not only is IARC the only agency claiming that the active chemical in the herbicide RoundUp is carcinogenic – the process it used to reach that determination is fraught with manipulated data and science, altered reports, conflicts of interest and collusion with activist groups and predatory class action lawyers.

America’s own National Institutes of Health has also gotten entangled in this mess, because the director of its National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences is closely aligned with IARC and anti-chemical activist groups.

The House Science Committee has been trying for months to investigate and fix these problems, but has been met with stonewalling at every turn. The latest example of this is detailed in below. ~ Paul Driessen

CVS to Buy Aetna for $69 Billion

Show me de monee!

December 3, 2017 – CVS Health has agreed to buy Aetna for about $69 billion in cash and stock, a landmark deal that would change the health-care landscape in the country by bringing a large insurer and a big provider of pharmacy services under one roof.

In an agreement that has been months in the making and is likely to be announced later Sunday, Aetna stockholders are to receive $207 per share, $145 in cash and $62 in stock, according to people familiar with the matter. (WSJ)

NOTE: Would it not seem to you to be somewhat Monopolistic? Now a major retailer of prescription drugs will be in control of Aetna Insurance and both will be under the thumbnail of BIG Pharma and the Food and Drug Administration. ~ Ed.

Texas School ‘Cures’ ADHD Doing One Change

ADD and ADHD are both constantly touted by parents and teachers as the reasoning behind why children are unable to focus. And often times, the “cure” seems to be a slew of pharmaceutical medications that numb the children to their surroundings.

Rarely is the cure ever to cut down on sugar or to consider that a child’s brain and focus simply isn’t fully developed. And never has the cure been enacting a program that extends the amount of time kids have recess. Continue reading

Showdown looms for billion-dollar UN cancer controversy over weed killer

A United Nations-related research agency is claiming that the active ingredient in the world’s most popular herbicide, marketed in the U.S. by Monsanto as Roundup, is “probably carcinogenic to humans.” It (REUTERS)

An important legal showdown is looming for an obscure, United Nations-related research agency that is claiming that the active ingredient in the world’s most popular herbicide, marketed in the U.S. by Monsanto as Roundup, is “probably carcinogenic to humans.” It is the same agency that once claimed that coffee was a possible carcinogen. Sleep Scientist Warns Against Walking Through Life ‘In An Underslept State

The National Sleep Foundation recommends an average of eight hours of sleep per night for adults, but sleep scientist Matthew Walker says that too many people are falling short of the mark.

Human beings are the only species that deliberately deprive themselves of sleep for no apparent gain,” Walker says. “Many people walk through their lives in an underslept state, not realizing it.” Continue reading

Big Pharma GREED strikes again

“Life-changing” thyroid pill manufacturer spikes price by 5,000%

The National Health Service (United Kingdom) is eyeing the cessation of the incessant prescription of Liothyronine, a drug that is used to treat thyroid disorders, after its manufacturer, Oakville, Canada-based pharmaceutical company Concordia International, increased its retail price by 5,662 percent to $12.45 per tablet ($373.35 per month). I am in LUST with Roasted Brussels Sprouts

In 2015 and 2016, my two great friends with whom I had served in Viet Nam back in the late 1960’s and I met up for one of our annual get-togethers – this time in California – and a rarity – at the same location two years in a row, where we had the pleasure of some much needed R&R at the Ice Man’s brother’s Beach House at Cayucos by-the-Sea. The three of us LOVE great food, and so it was common for us to travel just South to Morro Bay – usually for breakfast – but sometimes dinner. And then on to one of my favorite places – The Grill Haus in San Luis Opisbo, where I always found the food, the atmosphere and the staff to be a wonder. (Hmmmmm – I wonder what ever happened to… never-mind.)

It was at the Grill Haus that I discovered one of the most amazing dishes (on the plate) that I had ever been privileged to savor – and a variation of that recipe I share with you now. Is it the healthist meal you might ever eat? Probably not – but once in awhile… just once in awhile my friends. As my Great-Grandmother’s would say, “All things in moderation.” ~ Ed.
