Chemotherapy one of dozens of procedures shown to ‘give no benefit

man-upset-cry-cancer-patient-chemotherapyChemotherapy is arguably one of the medical industry’s biggest frauds. Perhaps that’s why it recently landed on a list of ineffectual treatments drawn up by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AMRC).

The list was created by 11 top specialists, who were each asked to think of five treatments they felt provided little to no patient benefits. And surprise, surprise – chemotherapy was one of them. Doctors from the AMRC said that chemotherapy cannot cure terminal cancer, and may bring unneeded distress in the final months of life. The Guardian reported:

“The treatment is ‘by its very nature toxic’, therefore, the combination of failing to achieve a response and causing toxicity can ‘do more harm than good.'”

Do more harm than good? You don’t say. Continue reading

The Use of Bee Pollen as a Superfood

What Is Pollen?
Pollen is the male seed of flowers. It is required for the fertilization of the plant. The tiny particles consist of 50/1,000-millimeter corpuscles, formed at the free end of the stamen in the heart of the blossom. Every variety of flower in the universe puts forth a dusting of pollen. Many orchard fruits and agricultural food crops do, too.

beehiveBee pollen is the food of the young bee and it is approximately 40% protein. It is considered one of nature’s most completely nourishing foods. It contains nearly all nutrients required by humans. About half of its protein is in the form of free amino acids that are ready to be used directly by the body. Such highly assimilable protein can contribute significantly to one’s protein needs. Continue reading

Why Cancer Patients Will Suffer to Protect the Lives of Addicts

It’s hard to believe that cancer patients with a few days to live are denied sufficient painkillers for fear of addiction. Today common sense has become an uncommon commodity

poppies

The poppy is also a flower…

How history repeats itself! Today, politicians are once again ignoring the pain of terminal cancer patients. At the same time they are shooting themselves in the foot by making illogical remarks about pain. This human folly takes me back 37 years.

In January 1979, I wrote a New Year’s resolution in this column to petition the government to legalize medical heroin to ease the agony of terminal cancer patients. I knew that heroin had been used in English hospitals for 90 years, so why not have this painkiller available in North America? But rather than being applauded for my compassion, all hell broke loose. Continue reading

Simple test can now reveal which heartburn patients are at risk of oesophageal cancer

Oesophageal cancer is the eighth most common cancer in the world

Oesophageal cancer is the eighth most common cancer in the world

A simple test that spots people at high risk of one of the most deadly cancers is being developed by scientists.

It could save lives by identifying those destined for oesophageal cancer early, allowing them to have treatment when it is most effective.

Those deemed to be a low-risk of the disease would be spared the worry and discomfort of regular check-ups.

Oesophageal cancer is the eighth most common cancer in the world with 456,000 new cases diagnosed in 2012. Continue reading

A major study about the best way to treat early-stage breast cancer reveals that “precision medicine” doesn’t provide unambiguous answers about how to choose the best therapy.

“Precision doesn’t mean certainty,” says David Hunter, a professor of cancer prevention at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

That point is illustrated in a large study published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine, involving decisions about chemotherapy. Continue reading

Flashback: Lead HPV vaccine developer comes clean…

“Its a giant deadly scam!”

gardasil“Parents and women must know that deaths occurred,” states Dr. Diane Harper, when speaking with CBS News in 2009. Dr. Harper was a lead developer of the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine. Once a strong believer in Gardasil and Cervarix, she was part of the team that approved the vaccines for safety and effectiveness. But now she confesses they are nothing but a deadly scam. Dr. Harper came clean at the 4th International Convergence on Vaccination in Reston, Virginia. She has been speaking out ever since about the deadly risks associated with the vaccines and the false protection they give to women. Continue reading

In 2009 Susanne Weil’s husband attended a single beekeeping seminar, came home and declared they were getting bees. Weil, of Onalaska, said she was a little surprised by the declaration but was quickly sold on the idea.

“We have a garden, and my husband wanted bees to pollinate our garden and orchard,” Weil said. “We saw an immediate difference. We never had such an amazing garden. Even our wind-pollinated plants did better. It’s a win-win.” Continue reading

Mobile Devices Are Causing, Stress, Anxiety At Home

Setting boundaries with phones to alleviate stress, anxiety (ultimately)

parents-kids-smart-phonesSmartphones and tablets are replacing face-to-face interactions, and families are suffering because of it, a new study says.

According to lead study author Dr. Jenny Radesky, assistant professor of developmental behavioral pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School, incoming communications from work, friends, and the world at large is “contaminating” family mealtime, bedtime, and playtime. Whether you agree with the term ‘contamination’ or not, I think we can all agree these times are changing due to these technological devices. Continue reading
