A dear Fried brought me a book about water. He said, “Why haven’t you written about water? I didn’t have an answer for him. So he loaned me the book to read. It is named “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water.” It is written by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj.
Dr. Batmanghelidj starts the book off by saying, “The greatest tragedy in medical history is the fact that medical professionals have not understood the human body’s many calls for water.” They have traditionally resorted to using chemicals and “procedures” to deal with chronic dehydration of the body. He also states that very sick persons with a history of major diseases and under medical supervision, particularly those with severe renal disease, must not use any information in the book without the supervision of their attending physician.
Dr. Batmanghelidj goes on to ask a very important question. “Why hasn’t the national Institute of Health (NIH), the most advanced center of medical research in the world, failed society by not studying the medical effects and benefits of water?” He indicated his reasons for contacting the NIH and affiliates was that dehydration of the body cells is the cause of many degenerative diseases in the human body. The answer was that his views were so broad-based that they did not fit into the way the research institution functions.
I have written many times about the government institutions and how most medicine is controlled by the drug companies, FDA, and with cancer, the oncologists. They use patented drugs made by the drug companies in the U.S., Canada, and England, not allowing homeopathic, alternative, or with water, real great healing substances to be prescribed by physicians in their practices. Information on the FDA, drug companies, and some physicians in these countries can be found in chapter one of my book. “Preventing Cancer.”
In his preface, Dr. Batmanghelidj’s words to the NIH were, “ It is chronic dehydration that is the root cause of most major diseases.” However, the NIH “thinkers” did not wish our new thoughts to enter the scientific arena and reach the public. He states that it is a chronic water shortage in the human body that causes most of the diseases in the human body. We have not stopped to think that the body is 75 percent water, and what is going to happen if we don’t drink enough water regularly every day. Fluids and water are not necessarily the same. Water by itself is the best medicine in treating many diseases and conditions. Dehydration can cause many diseases.
One very important subject is that children and many adults are not educated to drink water. They are becoming dependent on the numerous so-called “health drinks” that are now offered in most grocery stores and even in some health food stores. It is not possible to substitute pure water with manufactured drinks because of the many preservatives, glucose, fructose, and other added constituents. Many people also reduce the thought of drinking water as a much better health substance. Dr. Batmanghelidj went on to say that many “health drinks” can even produce pathologies and some diseases. Many ailments signal boy cell water shortages from chronic dehydration.
Some of Dr. Batmanghelidlj’s research in disease remedies discusses the following.
One. He treated over 3,000 peptic ulcer patients. What did he use? Water alone. He discovered that treatment for peptic ulcers can be resolved with water. He calls peptic ulcers “a thirst disease.” He said that ulcers are a signaling system for water dehydration, and are ignored by most physicians. Another great signal for water dehydration is “a dry mouth.”
Two. Every function of the body is monitored and linked to the efficient flow of water. Its transported elements (hormones, chemical messengers, and nutrients) are transported to the vital organs. Water regulates many physical and chemical regulatory actions. Neurotransmitters in the body (histamine, dopamine, and other agents) are active in the regulation of water. However, medications can block many functions of the body. It should be common knowledge that medications require the intake of more water to help in body cell regulatory requirements. Batmanghelidj’s words are that water is a natural medication for a variety of diseases and health conditions.
Three. The water we drink provides the fluid for body cell function and its volume requirements. The daily water intake affects the efficiency of cell activity. The water we drink will keep the cell volume balanced. This is mostly controlled by the body’s salt intake. The bloodstream maintains this volume, there needs to be enough water to balance the body cell osmosis and inner cell activity. His words are, “water is the solvent in the body that regulates all functions, including the activity of solutions that it dissolves and circulates.”
Four. High blood pressure is the result of body cell water deficiency. He states that HBP is the adaptive process of a gross need for body water. He states that blood vessels are designed to cope with fluctuations in their blood volumes. When the total blood volume in the body is decreased, the main vessels also have to decrease (constrict), otherwise, there would not be enough volume to fill the space allocated to the blood volume. His words are that when a person does not drink enough water to serve the needs of the body, capillary beds in some blood vessel areas will have to close to adjust to the slack incapacity. They close the lumen (space) to cope with the loss of blood and fluid (water). This closing raises the blood pressure, causing hypertension.
Five. Weight loss. Dr. Batmanghelidj has had very good results with patients having them lose weight. He says that water is a natural diuretic, and can replace cholesterol drugs and other weight loss remedies. In his book, he has numerous testimonials from patients who have reduced angina, lost many pounds of weight, and relieved hypertension. Many of the patients have had enough relief that they have discontinued the use of drugs. In one case a letter of appreciation stated that his patient had lost 45 pounds with no additional medications. Many patients lost between 30 and 45 pounds when they used water as their medication.
Six. High blood cholesterol. He claims that high blood cholesterol is a sign that the cells of the body have developed a defense mechanism against the osmotic force of the blood that keeps drawing water out through the cell membranes. The result is that the concentrated blood can not release sufficient water to be able to go through the cell membranes and maintain normal cell functions. Here again, his water treatment had reduced the cholesterol levels in many patients.
Seven. Allergies and asthma. It is assumed that over 12 million children in the U.S. suffer from allergies and asthma every year. Several thousand die. He writes that allergies and asthma are indications that the body has resorted to an increase in the neurotransmitter, histamine. It is recognized that asthmatics have an increase in histamine content in lung tissue. The histamine regulates bronchial muscle contraction. One of the sites for water loss is evaporation in the lungs. The bronchial constriction is a protection mechanism to preserve body water.
Histamine is the sensor regulator of water metabolism and its distribution in the body. It also has a role as an antibacterial and antiviral defense in the body. When the diet, toxins, and inflammation cause leaky gut and increased histamine in the bloodstream. Dr. Batmanghelidj states that for both allergies and asthma that histamine can be regulated with an increased intake of daily water. It may take three to four weeks, but improvement of both conditions can be greatly reduced.
There is much more to be learned by reading Dr. Batnmanghelidj’s book about water. He says the best time to drink water (one glass) for peptic ulcers is ½ hour before eating food. Then drink 1 glass of water after a heavy meal or before going to bed.
There is not enough space to talk about other topics that Dr. Batmanghelidj writes about diabetes, aids, stress, worry, headaches, pain, and other topics in his book. He did answer what kind of water should you drink? He says that tap water has the protection of chlorine which kills bacteria. Also stated was that bottled water can serve as an alternative source, although bottled water in glass jars is much better than in plastic bottles. Plastic bottles have chemicals that may harm the body.
It is best to have a small filtration unit with a carbon or ceramic filter. Then putting it in glass bottles and drinking it during the day is very safe. Have trouble falling asleep? Dr. Batmanglhelidj says to try drinking a glass of water before bedtime and then putting a pinch of salt on your tongue. This combination alters the rate of electrical discharges in the brain and induces sleep. He also says to always drink a glass of water before taking a shower, with a pinch of salt.
Other great water tips. Always drink more water if your urine is not clear, cloudy, or yellow. That is an indication of dehydration. Also, the medical establishment is ignorant of water metabolism disturbance as a possible cause of disease in the body. Drinking more water with medications may be a great disease treatment asset.
