Baking soda not only helps prevent cancer but can be an everyday balancing substance to regulate your pH or electromagnetic energy. The ideal body cells and blood pH should be 7.4. The ideal urine and saliva pH is 6.4. If the pH goes to the acid side, it is flirting with disease and aging.
Two of the best buffering substances for maintaining a neutral pH are baking soda and barley powder. Most people are acidic because of their refined and processed food diet, so having a baking soda drink when your saliva and urine pH is below 6.2 is a great way to raise the body and blood pH.
Just a simple drink, one or two cups, with 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking soda in a quart of water will help raise the body’s pH. If the body pH is low in the mornings, a simple baking soda drink will also be a great help. Since coffee is acidic, baking soda is also a great additive for a cup of coffee, by adding 1/4th teaspoon (or a pinch) before drinking.
Checking the urine and saliva pH with hydrion litmus paper will tell a person if their body is more acid, neutral, or alkaline. Check to see if the urine and saliva are below 6.2 (6.4 is ideal), or above 6.8.
There are three things that will help raise the body pH, barley powder, baking soda, and pure, raw lemon juice. Some people with a low pH drink a glass of lemon juice before bedtime and early in the morning to help raise the pH. Baking soda will do the same thing.
Some researchers have found that low levels of bicarbonate may be linked to increased risk for disease and even life expectancy. Eating mostly a raw food diet helps in keeping a normal pH, but in many people, added alkaline foods and drinks are needed. You can even put a little baking soda in soups to raise the alkalinity. However, most physicians do not use body acid/alkaline base balance as any measuring tool.
Many fruits and vegetables are high in potassium and bicarbonate. These foods also help balance the pH, reducing disease and aging. Some of these are apples, spinach, carrots, lemons, broccoli, and even coffee when a pinch of baking soda is put in each cup.
There are many other wonderful attributes of baking soda. There are almost too many to mention, but I will show you why you need to keep that container of baking soda in your kitchen. The only caution is that you buy an aluminum-free brand of baking soda. For starters, baking soda is an energy booster. It has been found to be great to boost physical performance when doing almost all physical exercises. Strenuous exercise builds up lactic acid in muscles. One or two glasses of a great drink can be made from the following.
1. 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt.
2. 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
3. 6 cups of coconut water.
4. 1/4 cup of lemon juice.
5. 2 tablespoons of raw honey. Mix well and keep in the refrigerator until needed.
Second, baking soda is an electrolyte booster and helps to balance electrolytes.
Third, it is great to help control acid reflux. Adding a little baking soda to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and eight ounces of water will make a drink that will help acid reflux.
Forth, a little baking soda added to green tea blocks the enzymes responsible for fat storage in the body. It is great for weight loss.
Fifth, Baking soda can be used as a great toothpaste. It freshens the breath and even helps raise the pH in an acid body.
Sixth, Baking soda relieves bug bites, bee stings, and sunburns.
Seventh, Baking soda (one tablespoon in a pint of water) will get rid of pests and insects on vegetables and fruit trees.
Eighth, It removes odors in the refrigerator, rooms, and carpets,
Ninth, It helps deodorize smelly shoes and boots.
Tenth, It kills fungus on outside walls and porches, plus gets rid of mildew,
Eleventh, It can be used for cooking bread and brownies
These uses for baking soda are not all of the wonderful things that baking soda does. Checking on the computer will enable you to find even more great uses.
In conclusion, one of the most important uses for baking soda is to balance the pH or electromagnetic energy of body cells and the blood. If a person’s body is continually acidic, adding barley powder or baking soda to soups and other foods will be a great help in maintaining a balanced acid/base body.
To obtain hydrion litmus paper used to monitor saliva and urine, a person can call Daily Manufacturing at 800 868 0700. The best body settings on each roll are 5.5 to 8.0. Hydrion litmus paper is the only thing I know that can check a person’s acid/base balance. Reading of the saliva and urine should be taken first thing in the morning and just before brushing the teeth at night. Measuring the pH is a great measurement of a person’s body chemistry.

After two years of service in the Air Force, he started a private practice in East Wenatchee, Washington. For the past 45 years his practice has included Orthodontics and TM Dysfunction treatment specializing in temporomandibular pain treatment, headache, head and neck pain control, functional jaw orthopedics, and straight wire orthodontics. Associated with mercury elimination, oral surgery, crowns and bridges is TMJ treatment, diet control, parasite elimination, intestinal cleansing and healing (wellness).
Merle E. Loudon, B.S., D.D.S. has taught advanced courses for dentists on TM Dysfunction treatment, orthodontics and related pain control for more than 30 years. In 1972 he was the first dentist in Washington to use straight wire orthodontics and the first dentist to correct vertical deficiencies in children by placing vertical dimension-primary molar buildups and/or vertical (erupting) appliances. Merle E. Loudon, B.S., D.D.S. was involved with the first group of dentists to recognize lateral tongue splinting in young infants and integrate functional and fixed techniques to correct vertical dimension deficiencies and condylar placement. He is the originator of vertical dimension-primary molar build ups, which help to correct deep bites and Otitus media in children. He invented the Loudon-Chateau Anterior Repositioning Appliance, the functional muscle malocclusion concept, the twelve commandments of occlusion and the vertical overbite domino rule. Merle E. Loudon, B.S., D.D.S. has written numerous articles in several American and foreign dental journals and has lectured in over 50 cities and 7 foreign countries on functional jaw orthopedics, fixed wire orthodontics, Otitus media treatment and TM Dysfunction treatment. He has been instrumental in setting up criteria for teaching in the International Association For Orthodontics, including the certified instructor program.
