I was told the other day that I need to stop focusing on the small issues and devote more of my attention towards fighting the real enemies of this country, the shadow government, and the central banks. I do not deny that there is in fact a shadow government which is behind many of our nation’s problems. However, in 1838 Amsel Bauer Mayer Rothschild said, “Let me issue and control a Nation’s money and I care not who makes its laws.” Well by golly, I DO care who makes our laws.

Article 1 Section 1 of the Constitution states “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

For those of you who may still be unfamiliar with the intended structure of our system of government, or whose understanding of the English language may be lacking, the word legislative refers to the making of laws. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines legislate as: “to perform the function of legislation; specifically: to make or enact laws.”

The Declaration of Independence is not only our nation’s birth certificate; it is also the most eloquent statement ever written regarding the rights of man. The Declaration states “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” It also states “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

These rights spoken of were considered natural rights, which were defined by Thomas Paine, in his treatise The Rights of Man as, “all the intellectual rights, or rights of the mind, and also those rights of acting as an individual for his own comfort and happiness, which are not injurious to the natural rights of others

In his book The Constitution in Exile, Judge Andrew Napolitano writes, “Our rights cannot be legislated away, no matter how universally accepted the legislation, and they cannot be commanded away, no matter how beloved, benign, or correct the commander may be.”

Therefore, if the preservation of our rights is among the primary functions of our government, when it neglects that function, or decides that it has the power and authority to limit those rights, it becomes a government based not upon liberty, but upon tyranny, and, as Thomas Jefferson said in the Kentucky Resolutions “…and that whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force…”

James Madison once said “If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare…it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.”

Our government is/was one of limited powers, with the sole power of legislating given to Congress, with the approving authority granted to the president. However, all laws must be within the scope of authority granted it by the Constitution, with strict attention being given to the rights of the people.

Now I would like for you to read one final quote by Thomas Jefferson before I get to the gist of this article. From the Jeffersonian Cyclopedia, page 386, I quote, “If the people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Recently the Food and Drug Administration raided the warehouses of Rawesome Foods for selling unpasteurized goats milk without a permit. In their case against Rawesome Foods the FDA stated “Plaintiffs’ assertion of a new “fundamental right’ to produce, obtain, and consume unpasteurized milk lacks any support in law.” Furthermore, they state “Plaintiffs’ assertion of a “fundamental right to their own bodily and physical health, which includes what foods they do and do not choose to consume for themselves and their families,’ is similarly unavailing because plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish.”

So now, a government entity, not Congress, but the FDA, is saying that people DO NOT have the right to decide what foods they can eat. The issue is that an agency of the government is telling us what we can, and cannot eat.

This isn’t the first time the FDA has flexed its muscles and trampled upon the people’s right to decide what food they choose to eat. In 1987 around 25 armed agents of the FDA and U.S. Marshalls stormed through the doors of the Life Extension Foundation in Fort Lauderdale Florida. In the course of their raid these armed thugs confiscated nutritional products, files, and 5000 newsletters which the LEF was ready to mail out to its subscribers.

You see, the FDA thinks it is the only group of people who think that they can determine what is good for you, and what isn’t. They think that they are the only ones who can decide what you will be allowed to consume, and what you won’t.

The FDA claims that only drugs can cure disease, that nutritional supplements cannot. From their own webpage the FDA states, “(g)(1) The term “drug” means (A) articles recognized in the official United States Pharmacopoeia, official Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, or official National Formulary, or any supplement to any of them; and (B) articles intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or other animals.”

Furthermore, the FDA has stated, “Any mention of the therapeutic benefits of supplements, whether through personal testimonials, cited scientific literature (actual REAL and UNBIASED case studies), etc., is automatically considered “misbranding.”

So, if the FDA does not grant its seal of approval upon an item, then it cannot be healthy for you. Did you know that recently the FDA banned a common form of vitamin B6 by claiming the vitamin was a drug that was never approved for use in supplements? Yet it occurs naturally in meats, whole grain products, vegetables, nuts, and bananas.

I’m sure the FDA has our best interests in mind; after all, didn’t they approve Vioxx, the drug which was widely prescribed for years to treat osteoarthritis. Yet in 2004 Vioxx was withdrawn from the market because of concerns over increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. But that’s beside the point.

The point is that our right to choose what we will eat for our own health is a natural right, and neither Congress, nor some agency such as the FDA, has the right to tell us what we can or cannot eat. What’s next is the government going to send armed thugs to close down Farmers Markets or your own private vegetable garden?

Thomas Jefferson once said, “The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution.” Well, the Constitution DOES NOT grant Congress unlimited powers for our general welfare. It DOES NOT grant them the power and authority to decide what we choose to eat. If they were that damned concerned about our health and well-being, why have they allowed all these fast food restaurants to remain open?

Thomas Jefferson once warned “Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (administrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slavery.”

If you cannot see that our government has taken a path by which our natural rights and liberty are being taken from us, inch by inch, then you are blind or stupid. I leave it up to you to decide which. All I know is that I am getting awfully damned tired of them telling me what I can and cannot do with every single aspect of my life. If you want to live as a slave, fine, just don’t ask me to join you. Me, I still believe what Jefferson did, that “…whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force…”

In other words, if the FDA comes and tells me what I can and cannot eat, I’ll tell them to eat s*** and die.
